Medicare Advantage Plans

Medicare Advantage Plans are another way to get Part A & Part B coverage.  Medicare Advantage Plans are often referred to as "Part C" or "MA Plans."  Most Advantage Plans DO include drug coverage (Part D).  You must have Part A & Part B effective dates in order to get a Medicare Advantage Plan.

These plans typically operate within a network, so it is important that your plan works with your provider in order to keep costs down.  All of the plans are county driven, meaning that the county you reside in might only offer 5 plans, so those are the plans you have to choose from.

Joining A Medicare Advantage Plan

Medicare Advantage Plans vary per county that you reside in.  If the county you live in only offer 5 plans, that's all you have to choose from.  You MUST have the date of Part A and/or Part B coverage start date, which can be found on your Medicare Card (red, white & blue) in order to enroll.

At MLR Insurance, we review all the details of the plans offered in your county.  We make sure you know the exact cost of prescriptions for the following year, confirm that your doctor(s) are in network and strive to meet all of your needs concerning your health coverage.  We conduct an annual analysis for you to make sure you are in the most fitting plan for the following year.  Prescriptions cost are renegotiated, doctors leave and join certain networks, benefits change yearly and we want to make sure we leave you with no surprises.

Enrollment Periods are October 15th- December 7th every year.  There are special cases that allow you to disenroll and re enroll outside of that period. Call to see if there is one available in your area now.
